The Newspaper Association of Brazil (ANJ), which accounts for 90% of the daily news circulation in Brazil, has confirmed its plans to abandon the Google News service and bar Google from using their content.

ANJ claims that the search giant’s news service was driving traffic away from their websites that resulted in a drop of traffic and had declined to pay for content. [1]

BEWARE OF “FREE KNOWLEDGE” !

Even the all mighty Google does not contail all the facts. And vice-versa: the facts it contains are dependent on the will of newspapers to distribute their content via Google. One must search in depth (and also in books and not only in widespread Internet sites) in order to discover true “knowledge” for topics of his interest.

Most of the times what is “free” is not “knowledge”…
