Archeologists unearth new information on the origins of Maya Civilization, which suggest that the Mayas were growing in parallel with the Olmecs. [1]

It seems that the debate of whether that civilization was developed on its own or from the Olmec civilization will not be at rest in the near future. Both civilizations seem to be a part of a greater “civilization cloud”.

If only we could accept such holistic conclusions for our civilizations today…
