Staying awake. Sleeping more. Not understanding. Knowing everything…

New Michigan State University research suggested babies who are less active get less sleep, something new parents may want to consider when looking for possible solutions for the long, sleepless nights. Napping doesn’t help either. In fact, babies who slept less at night, yet napped more during the day, still weren’t able to get as much sleep overall as those who slept more at night. Plus, the tired tots weighed significantly more based on their length, indicating a potential risk for early onset obesity. (1)

In the beginning there was One.

And this is now broken.

Only those who remember that simple truth can see that there is nothing to see.

The universe is full of opposites.

And everything needs its opposite to be complete.

This is not a question to be answered.

But the answer which produces all questions.

Humans try to answer questions and understand things. But every new answer adds more questions, simply because from the beginning we have started travelling in the wrong direction. Our need to understand does not stem from the existence of questions to be answered, but from our resistance in accepting the fact that there are no questions in the first place.

There is no positive and negative charge, there are only particles.

There is no staying awake or sleeping, there is only living.

There is no living or dying, there is just being.

Stay awake more. And you will sleep more.

Do things. And you will need not to do anything.

Live a more intense life. And you will welcome death.

Ask more questions and provide more answers.

And you will get to know the value of doing neither…

For there is no knowing or not-knowing.

There is just…

Well, I’ll just stop there.

Only because I want to continue…

Being ethically inferior. Because you are ethically superior. Opposites. Whole.

Caution! Your feelings of ethical superiority can cause a chain reaction that is detrimental to you, your coworker and your organization, according to Baylor University management research.

A new study published in the Journal of Business Ethics suggests that your feelings of ethical superiority can lead you to have negative emotions toward a “less ethical” coworker. Those negative emotions can be amplified if you also believe you do not perform as well as that coworker. And, furthermore, those negative emotions can lead to your mistreatment and/or ostracism (social exclusion) of that less ethical, higher-performing coworker. (1)

Look down to other people. And you will fall. Be humble and look up to other people. And you will rise. The secret of life lies in the opposites. And in your ability to balance between them. Shed tears if you are strong. Forgive if you are powerful. Help others even if you desperately need help. Consider yourself unethical if you are ethical.

And all of a sudden…

Life will gain meaning.

And the cosmos will be full again.

Ethical and unethical at the same time.

Existence as it once was.

It is us who broke it into pieces. And we try to put the pieces back together ever since. Trying to recreate the grandeur of Paradise we have lost but never ceased to think of. Trying to reunite with the wisdom we once had but we have now lost. Because we are too focused in succeeding, not being able to see that we must fall in order to rise…

The puzzle is complicated.

And you can never attach any two pieces by only pulling just one of them…

Kronus… Hot ice… Cold fire…

The spectacular planetary nebula NGC 7009, or the Saturn Nebula, emerges from the darkness like a series of oddly-shaped bubbles, lit up in glorious pinks and blues. This colourful image was captured by the MUSE instrument on ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT). The map – which reveals a wealth of intricate structures in the dust, including shells, a halo and a curious wave-like feature – will help astronomers understand how planetary nebulae develop their strange shapes and symmetries. Cronus gives birth to his children…

Cronus eats his children…

The circle of life and death will never stop.

From zero, One will be born.

Only to end up in nothingness.

A nothingness which breeds universes.

Living and dying.

Dying and living.

Hot ice.

Cold fire…
