Non-water. Inside the dead forest.

Led by Professors Raffaele Mezzenga and Ehud Landau, a group of physicists and chemists from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich have identified an unusual way to prevent water from forming ice crystals, so even at extreme sub-zero temperatures it retains the amorphous characteristics of a liquid.

In a first step, the researchers designed and synthesized a new class of lipids (fat molecules) to create a new form of “soft” biological matter known as a lipidic mesophase, by mixing those lipids with water. In the newly created material, the lipids spontaneously self-assemble and aggregate to form membranes. These membranes form a network of connected channels less than one nanometer in diameter. In this structure, there is no room in the narrow channels for water to form ice crystals, so it remains disordered even at extreme sub-zero temperatures. The lipids do not freeze either.

Using liquid helium, the researchers were able to cool a lipidic mesophase consisting of a chemically modified monoacylglycerol to a temperature as low as minus 263 degrees Celsius, which is a mere 10 degrees above the absolute zero temperature, and still no ice crystals formed. (1)

Water freezes at zero degrees.

Unless you mix it with something else.

But then, it is not water.

And it can freeze at lower temperatures.

Everything is what it is.

But it can change to something else.

At the end, all things freeze at the same temperature.

If they are the same.

Or at different. If they are not.

Nature doesn’t care.

In the deepest cold…

Under the heat of the summer sun…

There are no temperatures.

Just things which boil and freeze.

There are many paths inside the forest of existence.

Do you care about how Achilles will reach the turtle?

Possibilities.

There is nothing to compare anything with.

For everything is connected with everything.

And all measurements are just reflections in the mirror.

Potential.

At the end you will be in the clearing…

Only to realize that the clearing is you.

Consumed by fire.

Breathing cold air…

Boosting creativity.

What is creativity, and can it be enhanced – safely – in a person who needs a boost of imagination? Georgetown experts debate the growing use of electrical devices that stimulate brain tissue and conclude there is potential value in the technique. However, use of these machines also raises neuro-ethical, legal, and social issues that must now be addressed. (1)

Boosting creativity.

Because we feel we need to be creative.

Because we are creative.

And we can understand when we are not…

Sounds weird. But don’t all true things do?

Thrown into the cosmos.

Not being able to understand a thing.

Thus, being able to feel everything…

This is who we are.

Artists. Not thinkers.

Let your brain go. You don’t need any boost.

Because anyone who is able to give a boost, already has one…

Do you feel judged? Do you feel bad? Do you like plastic flowers?

Modern times can be really stressful.

Many times you find yourself under criticism.

A lot of times things go the wrong way.

And at that points in time, you start judging yourself.

Feeling useless.

Because someone else is.

Feeling inadequate.

Because someone else is.

Feeling responsible.

Because someone else is not.

Do not feel this way. Try to remember. We live in dark times. Where psychosis (for money, success, work in the expense of love, caring etc) has become mainstream. Where evil (in the form of not caring, pressing others to achieve what you alone cannot etc) has been re-branded as toughness. Where stupidity (millions of examples here) has been renamed as eccentricity.

Remember.

In a competition with fake plastic flowers, he who brings real flowers loses…

Hallucinations… Living… Senses as deprivation of your nature…

One hundred billion or so neurons are also incredibly fragile.

If the tiniest thing goes wrong with a particular connection – maybe something misfires, or a certain neural pathway is blocked – things can fall apart very quickly. And, oddly enough, even without any injuries or structural malfunctions, the human brain can get weird all by itself – turns out, it’s surprisingly easy to trick it into seeing and hearing things that aren’t actually there.

And no, it does not involve a bunch of drugs to make yourself hallucinate. The brain can do all that on its own, you just have to know how to manipulate it right. As the guys in a Scam School video from 2016 demonstrate, if you create a situation of intense sensory deprivation using some common household objects, you can induce some really strong hallucinations that mess with both your sense of sight and sound. After 20 minutes, the Scam School guys reported seeing “blooms of colour”, like when you rub your eyelids, that would soon form shapes like dinosaur silhouettes, jellyfish, and the Eye of Sauron. One heard screams, and the other heard laughter.

What they’re doing actually follows the principles of an actual scientific phenomenon known as the Ganzfeld effect. The Ganzfeld effect describes how when you are exposed to “an unstructured, uniform stimulation field” – such as seeing blackness and hearing constant television static – your brain responds by amplifying neural noise in an effort to find missing visual signals. You see nothing. You touch nothing.

And yet you want to feel something.

But in a dark cosmos full of existence, there is no need to sense anything. In a world of One, there is no need to feel or touch; you are already part of the totality of being. And yet all humans do touch. And yet, all humans hear, see and smell. Because they do not just want to live. They do not just want to be. They want to die. Afraid of their own existence. Discarding their own nature.

In this world of nothingness,

there is a need to sense everything.

Dead people in an alive cosmos.

Wanting to get out…
