What is Existence? Submit your article for publication!

Life goes by, like sand castles under the dark sky…

What am I thinking?

I know nothing, yet I know I am me.

I question everything.

And yet I believe something can Be.

I seek everything.

Because I have faith in what I can see.

What is Existence?

Can my limited mind touch Being?

Harmonia Philosophica calls for ideas! We are seeking innovative fresh ideas that could offer new perspectives on one of the oldest questions of philosophy: What is existence?

Philosophical background not necessary; to be honest not having such a background can only be a plus since you will be free of dogmas that run for centuries regarding what we “know”.

Each article must be at least 500 words in length. No other limitation exists. Please state explicitly your name and whether you wish your name to be published along with the article. If you wish you may select a pseudonym as writer name.

The goal is to gather ideas and foster dialogue on one of the most difficult but fundamental questions of humanity.

All submitted articles will be published.

Send your articles at harmonia-philosophica@hotmail.com.

Language of articles must be English.

Deadline for submission: June 30, 2024.

Articles will be published by July 30, 2024 in the Harmonia Philosophica portal.

Important Notes

  • Harmonia Philosophica retains the right to not publish articles that are clearly offensive or out of topic.
  • Articles with authors that wish to retain their anonymity but without a pseudonym defined, will be published with ‘Anonymous’ as writer name.

Why people suffer? – Call for philosophical essays

Photo by Spiros Kakos in Pexels

Humans are averted to suffering. We do not wish to ache or cry.

Yet, life is full of pain.

Why?

Of what use is that pain?

How could good people suffer while others are spared the day? Is there a plan behind all this or are we just trying to discover meaning where there is nothing to find or say?

Send your essays to Harmonia Philosophica (harmoniaPhilosophica.com) and see them published in our portal. All submissions adhering to the submission requirements will be published, unless you wish not to.

CALL FOR ESSAYS DETAILS

Topic: What is existence?

Requirements: Send a minimum 100-words essay in English (one entry per participant allowed). The answers must try to explain in an irrational manner what Existence is. Try to do so in your own words and via your own ideas – not by referencing ideas of others! References to existing philosophers’ ideas will not be accepted. The goal is to have genuine unique ideas. The greatest philosophers have anyway failed to reach a consensus on what Existence is. Why not give it a try?!?

NO NEED to be a graduate of philosophy!

NO NEED to have already published something in the past!

NO NEED to pay fees or any other cost!

NO NEED for references in your essay!

NO NEED to use your real name to be published!

JUST SEND YOUR ESSAY WITH YOUR IDEAS!

Innovation is the goal. Not academic conformance!

Tips: Try to be as IRRATIONAL as possible! If you try to think logically, your will most probably end up repeating existing ideas in different words. The big philosophical problems are too hard to be solved with linear logical thinking. What we need is innovation, not repetition of old ideas! Logic is itself based on arbitrary axioms, while what philosophy needs is a fresh look.

For example, add “TO BE PUBLISHED AS Spiros” if you want your essay to be published with the name Spiros. The {name} specified for the publication could be a pseudonym, no need to use your real name! Essays without that note will not be published, due to privacy protection laws requiring your explicit and specific consent to publish something with your name.

Copyright: You retain full copyright on your ideas even after they are published. You retain the right to send a message to Harmonia Philosophica and request the retraction of the publication if needed or simply if you changed your mind.
