Hunting dark matter. Creating our ghosts…

The hunt for dark matter. (1)

I will not stop saying again and again the obious: Calling something by a name does not necessarily make you a “scientist”.

Letting others call something by a specific name (e.g. “God”) does make you a FREE thinker though…

Science needs imagination.

Not crude definitions.

Skulls, towers, sand…

A newly discovered skull. (1, 2)

Made biologists think that differences in “species” may actually be in our minds.

Castles on the sand. Flushed away by tide…

What remains for us to decide is how serious we are going to be about them. Does a child cry when the sea destroys its towers?

Light with mass, definitions, “true”, “real”…

Light with mass. Particles with negative mass.

Things defined, can change meaning in an instant.

But even though definitions are subjective, in one way or another we can make them really work. (1)

So elusive and yet so real. Makes you wonder. Can EVERYTHING be true and “real”?

Medicine, SADS and our “I know everything” mania…

A teenager girl collapsed and died minutes after she was kissed for the first time. Scientists claim that she suffered from sudden adult death syndrome (SADS), without her knowing so. (1)

Oh, how teffiried are we to admit that we do not know something. Tagging the death as “SADS” does not solve the mystery of what causes it. The truth is that WE DO NOT KNOW. As simple as that. A name will not solve the problem. It will only satisfy our ego…

Admitting lack of knowledge can sometimes be the best place to start your quest for knowledge…
