Words conveying meaning we have chosen to accept as true – without realizing it.

Autonomy. Automation. But “autonomy” FROM WHO? Automation (2) for WHO to control what? A subject is always hidden behind anything seemingly objective. Behind every artificial intelligence lies someone intelligent.

Behind every robot, there lies a robot maker. We are egoists. We like to think we are different. Are we? A true maker builds automata in his own image – autonomous as he is. And he could be autonomous only because he had an autonomous maker.

Weird how we find answers to our most deep philosophical answers in a lab sometimes…
