Do you believe in your Faith?

We have a lot of discussion today about the “persecution” of Christians. Modern “Christians” feel persecuted because the churches are closed, because they do not open together with the… other businesses, because there are no religious events while other events perhaps are allowed, because they will put a chip in us and the Antichrist will come, etc. All this – at least some – are legitimate questions that need to be addressed. However, there is a fine line between what concerns us as Christians and what is really important. And equally important is the way we express our concerns. A post? Two posts? Crying out loud (online) about upcoming doom? Because anxiety is good to have in moderation if needed, but a lot of anxiety eventually becomes funny.

Christianity will not die because COVID-19 has come. Not even because of the lockdown. Christianity has survived – to be more precise, it had FLOURISHED – in times of great persecution. If today’s concerned “Christians” were living in the times of the great persecutions, they would probably have died on the spot from a stroke before they had time to worry (or they would have changed their minds and denounce Christianity). Because, unfortunately, hypocrisy, like stupidity, seems to have no limits. From the time when some people went to church, we have now reached to a time when online hordes of Christians protest because the churches were closed. Not because they are anxious about Christianity per se. But because they are anxious that they do NOT appear to be Christians. And in today’s era phenomena are not just important, they are all we have left.

Hey you. You, who are protesting …

How many times do you pray at home? How honestly do you believe in God? How much do you need others to know that you believe?

I’m sorry to say it, but the comparison with Muslims is heartbreaking. No, I am not in favor of Islam as you (might) know. I am a Christian. But let’s be honest. While we are anxious and afraid that Christianity may be destroyed by “persecution” on Earth because due to a sudden WORLD VIRUS OUTBREAK and in the middle of GENERAL LOCKDOWN the churches are closed, the Muslims simply continues to believe and pray wherever they can.

No, Christianity is not going to die because of quarantine. It has already died inside you a long time ago…

Palmyra: Islamists exposing the total void in western values. [OR: Let it burn. Let it burn…]

Palmyra ruins in Syria

Palmyra is now in the hands of IS. (1)

Soon, any monument there will be history.

And while islamists kill, rape and destroy down here on the ground, the civilized West will be bombarding them from the air…

The once Christianic Europe, the cradle of civilization, is now just a… void ready to be filled in with islamists. Never before had the lack of values in the “progressive” atheistic/ hypocritically christianic West been so decisively crucial and so symbologically clear. For oil we went for war at the end of the world. For raped girls and destroyed monuments, well… who cares? Right?

And like this, a catastrophological mania consumes me.

The urge to see the Acropolis torn down, the Colloseum destroyed stone by stone, the Hagia Sophia burned to the ground, the Mona Lisa (if this thing can stand in the same sentence with the previously mentioned monuments) re-painted in black, the… whatever important monument England has (besides the stolen Greek statues and the Stonehenge which was built in the 20th century) destroyed…

Who cares after all? Right?

Pass me the popcorn please.

Charlie Hebdo attack: Censorship. Freedom. Respect. And why one cannot overlap with the other (yes, with RESPECT too!)

Hooded gunmen dressed in black burst into the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo Wednesday 7/1/2015, killing 12 people in a coordinated strike and escaping onto the streets of Paris.

The three suspects behind the attack have been identified, Paris Deputy Mayor Patrick Klugman told CNN. Two of them are brothers.

French authorities vowed to step up security and apprehend those responsible.

“Everything will be done to arrest (the attackers)”, French President Francois Hollande said in a speech Wednesday night. “… We also have to protect all public places. Security forces will be deployed everywhere there can be the beginning” of a threat. (1)

It seems tragic.
It seems unfair.
It seems wrong.

And it is.

But are we calm enough to see the obvious?

Showing disrespect to things which are holy to other people is also…

Tragic.
Unfair.
Wrong.

No, the one does not justify the other.
These statements are just both true. At the same time.

Killing people is bad. Christianism is the first who said that.

But which fascist was defeated by showing Jesus Christ fucking God and the Holy Spirit fucking Jesus? What kind of freedom of speech right was justified and honored by showing Jesus Christ fucking God and the Holy Spirit fucking Jesus?

Lack of limitations, lack of rules, is characteristic of the jungle…

And now all the animals are let loose…

Turkey, sex, oppression…

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan’s proposal to ban cohabitation for male and female students has garnered criticism nationwide. (1)

Should religion or anyone else impose values? If not, what would happen if we have NO values whatsoever?

Is banning pre-marital sex right? Is fucking around like pornstars right? Surely now we are somewhere in the middle. But towards WHERE do we want to go? What is our value target?

And last but not least: When the MAJORITY of a country WANTS to be oppressed, what can you do? 😉

Islam. Christianity. Atheism. Violence.

A mother who beat her seven-year-old son “like a dog” when he failed to memorise passages of the Koran has been found guilty of his murder. Sara Ege, 33, beat Yaseen Ege to death at their home in Pontcanna, Cardiff, in July 2010 and set fire to his body. She was also found guilty of perverting the course of justice at Cardiff Crown Court. Sentence was adjourned. [1]

Islamism is known for being full of hatred and oppression. Others say that whoever makes such claim simply does not know the true nature of Islamism. I am surely not in any position to speak as an expert for this faith; I know what I know based on the news I read every day.

Surely Christians have done terrible things in the course of history. Surely atheists also did some terrible things in the recent centuries. But a small detail is crucial: Christian faith leaders condemn violence. World’s prominent atheists condemn violence. The simple fact that no religious leaders of the Islamic religion come forward to condemn such actions is really frightening…

Religion is something inherently good. This is what Harmonia Philosophica tries to explain for the past ten years or so. But sometimes actions speak louder than words. And whether we like it or not, every passing moment is a chance to lose the trust and respect of people through what we do and say; and especially through what we do NOT do and say…

These are difficult times we live in.

Let us all try to make them better.

One announcement at a time…
