The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are in… Babylon!

But a researcher from England (not “UK” since it is not so… United and surely not a “Kingdom” in the sense it was in the old days) claims that all the ancient Greek historians were false and that the gardens are not in Babylon but in Nineveh. (1, 2, 3, 4)

Discrediting the “old” people because we “know better” is our favourite sport.

Why should historians who LIVED BACK THEN know better than us?!?

We know everything! We are the best! We rule!

PS. And the fact that the researcher is English adds another twist to the case. I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw the Gardens stolen and put for exchibition in the Bristish Museum along with the Elgin Marbles. The “discovery” that the gardens are in the wrong place could be an initial distraction before the new Grand Theft Garden episode…
