Argo vs. “Oscars” 1-0

Some movies are just GOOD movies. [1]

Some other movies are made FOR winning the Oscar. [Valia]

The former are the ones you enjoy watching (e.g. Argo). The latter are the ones that say something already said before. Movies you feel like enjoying, can’t be sure if you REALLY liked them though (e.g. Lincoln). And then the critics of the Oscars come and tell you that you were right – you SHOULD have been enjoying the film!

It seems to me like NOT winning the Oscar (or even better not even being nominated for one) is a safe criterion to WATCH a movie!

    I go both ways on this. There are a few Oscar winners that are, well…winners….
