Anyone who has tried and failed to meditate knows that our minds are rarely still. But where do they roam? New research has come up with a way to track the flow of our internal thought processes and signal whether our minds are focused, fixated or wandering. (1)
Where do our minds roam?
(Does it matter?)
Away from where we are or where we want to go.
Drifting on foreign lands, travelling at distant stars.
And yet, we are still here. Sad and full of fear.
Oh, how we hate our self. Why couldn't we be somewhere else?
Our mind roaming on empty roads. Travelling at distant stars, beyond galaxies and nebulas. Only there, within the void of it all, any question makes sense beyond what you already know.
(Where does my mind roam?)
How could I travel, if I was not already long gone?
